Animal Abuse

Animal abuse can happen in homes, shelters, rescues, and is becoming prevalent on the Internet. We are seeing more and more corruption with crowdfunding and bogus rescues. Animal abusers or dishonest people using animals for illegal profit (profiteers or opportunists) should pay fines and be imprisoned.

I would like to share two personal experiences I had on Facebook regarding a con-artist crowdfunder and bogus rescue.

There was a woman sharing 10 different crowdfunders (GoFundMe, Indiegogo, YouCaring.com, etc.) at Buster’s Vision’s multi-media social network for her dog Blackie which had an ear infection. She did not disclose (release) her vet or contact information at her crowdfunders or Buster’s Vision’s MMSN. She accumulated $1950.00 dollars within three weeks at her GoFundMe crowdfunder. (Just one crowdfunder. Imagine how much money she was making per month with 10 different crowdfunders.) I did have the opportunity to contact her after much strife. I asked her why her dog Blackie was not taken to the vet. She said she didn’t have the money, which was a lie because she had more than enough money from her crowdfunders. I took immediate action and filed online reports for investigation.

My second experience: Buster’s Vision has a small group of volunteers that call shelters for updates on death row fur-babies posts on our Facebook Animal Rights, Petitions, and Adoptions group. I personally contacted a shelter for a status update for a dog that was posted by a random rescue. The rescue was not a 501c3 Organization. The rescue was asking for donations and pledges for a dog  exceeding $1500.00. I was shocked to learn by the shelter (where the dog was located), that the dog was a bite dog, under quarantine, and subject to the courts. The dog was not adoptable and it was up to the courts to decide if the dog was to be returned to its rightful owner. I posted on FB the devious actions of the unethical rescue. The rescue disappeared on Facebook. I believe they now go by an alias (new) name on Facebook.

It pains me to know there are crowdfunders and bogus rescues stealing people’s money that should go to ethical rescuers and animals in need. It is so sad, as these unscrupulous people or businesses give decent, hard working rescuers or 501c3 organizations a bad reputation.

Buster’s Vision is creating a Crowdfunder website to support animals and rescuers. Fosters and transporters use their homes, time, money, cars, and gas to help save animals. Let’s give the rescuers our financial support. They deserve to be reimbursed and make a little bit of money for their hard earned efforts in help saving animals. Buster’s Vision will only network with ethical fosters and transporters with high standards and moral character.

If you see an animal abandoned or abused, do not turn a blind eye. It is your responsibility to help take care of God’s precious animals. Please take immediate action by following the steps below if permitted.

  • Call 911 ASAP.
  • Capture the event with cellphone if possible or gather as many details as you can: date, time, location, description of abuser, license plate, etc.
  • Try to get names and numbers of witnesses that will support the abuse claim.
  • Take detailed notes with your cellphone or paper and pen.
  • Be careful when assisting an abused animal. The animal may be frightened, disoriented, and try to protect itself.
  • Release cellphone video and/or details to the police for investigation.
  • STOPFRAUD.gov
  • https://www.ftc.gov

There is a voluminous amount of information on the Internet regarding animals abuse and abandonment. To have knowledge about animal abuse and abandonment and do nothing is shameful. Not only is it shameful, it’s sinful.

We strongly encourage you to create a petition if you encounter animal abuse. Please forward your petition at

and we will launch at Buster’s Vision Petition website and our multi-media social network. Justice must be served. Thank you!
